I just wanted to let you know that your beautiful Buckeye Burl flute arrived on New Year's Eve. Yesterday, we became acquainted and I spent a few hours thoroughly enjoying the big voice. Interestingly, I had not anticipated how nice not only the sound and appearance but also the aroma of the buckeye wood - it is very inspiring.
Thank you for your talented and fast work. I am looking forward to growing with the flute and many hours of enjoyment ahead. I'll send a recording when I'm ready.

The matching B flutes arrived today! Student got first choice and I've been practicing with mine. Thank you! As usual they play in tune SO NICELY. And I can get some pleasant harmony with my G flute, too!

Dear Dwight,

I was playing the pink ivory flute in the woods, by a natural pond, with some friends today and a huge dragonfly hovered right in front of me for about 20 minutes while I played. When I stopped, he buzzed closer, and when I played, he stayed at about 10 feet away at my eye level facing in my direction. He actually touched the flute twice. I believe we have some dragonfly medicine here.

Hi Dwight,

The Buckeye Burl G arrived today in good condition. The flute is not only as nice as I expected, it is about as near perfect as a flute can be made. I am very pleased, and this flute may be one of my best in mode 4.

Thank you, very much, for making me such a great flute.  I am sure I will be back for another, as the budget permits, even though I am supposed to be done with mid-range. ;-)

 I was shocked this afternoon to receive my beautiful flute!  To be honest, I wasn't expecting it until March sometime.  The sound quality is mesmerizing.  The two of us got acquainted and of course, I fell in love with it!  The flute is so easy to play and the sound just makes a person feel warm and fuzzy A-L-L  O-V-E-R!

 I have to say Thank You so much for the wonderful creations you have made for me. They are beyond my expectations.You have definitely taken flute making and the creation of custom flutes to another level! The G in Myrtlewood with end caps of black and white
ebony and rings of Black Palm and the Deer Antler rosette with turquoise inlay is as beautiful to look at as it is to play ! Its' voicing and tuning  are right on, not breathy at all and focused and full with a strong fundamental . Actually it is strong throughout the scale but can play softly if one desires to. The E in Box Elder with Bloodwood end caps and red palm rings is also another awesome Quiet Bear Creation! The Box Elder has beautiful reddish streaks in it which the Bloodwood helps to bring out even more. And then there's the Rosette Block in which I had asked for an inlaid cross of red to be in !. You captured my
thoughts in this idea exactly. And it plays wonderfully ! I can't say enough about this flute also.  The Creator, Our God, has definitely blessed you with exceptional talent !!!

 Just wanted to let you know that I play that Alaskan Yellow Cedar Bb/A# all the time, I really love that flute! The song I recorded with it, "Got No Worry" has gotten so much attention and is always requested at shows! So, thank you for that flute, it had a couple song within it! Hopefully there will be many more to follow.

Dear Dwight,

I LOVE MY FLUTE !! It feels good, smells good and is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship!
The sound is wonderful. I took a little time and courage for me to get the hang of playing – after being used to a silver flute. The instructional DVD was very helpful. Now I have a good sense of breath control and intention needed for the various parts of the scale and am enjoying playing half hole notes and trills. Now it seems so easy !!

Dear Quiet Bear,

The flute in the key of E has arrived safe and sound. It sounds great and I am really starting to get an appreciation of how the different woods make the feel/ vibration of the flutes different. I really like the kauri wood. I have also heard a drone flute, and those are just awesome also. I bet you have so much fun just trying out all the different flutes you make, and hearing what all the different woods sound like in flute form. Keep up the good work.
